China International Cartoon and Animation Festival
The China International Cartoon and Animation Festival, China’s only national-level exhibition of its kind, is the nation’s largest and most influential professional animation-themed exhibition. It has been held in Hangzhou each spring since 2005 as one of the city’s festive events. In 2016, the 12th China International Cartoon and Animation Festival attracted 2,531 business organizations and 5,300 merchants, exhibitors, and professionals from 80 countries and regions. A total of 1,381,500 people participated in the activities. 
China International Cartoon & Animation Festival regards “Animation Festival, People’s Festival” as the purpose, “Specialization, Internationalization, Industrialization, Branding” as the goal, “International Anime, Beautiful Hangzhou” as the theme. It has more than 50 brand projects in 5 parts, which are the conferences and exhibitions, forums, commercial affairs, matches, and activities. It is becoming the important platform for the development of national animation industry, the important bridge for Chinese cartoon going abroad, as well as the important festival liked by the people, especially teenagers.
