It was built during the early years of Chunxi Period in Song Dynasty in a lonely island. The endless reed shoal stretching to the southeast changes into a vast expanse of whiteness in autumn moonlight, making people lose interest in fame and wealth. The plaque of Tanzhi Building was inscribed by DONG Qichang, making it an important cultural site inside Autumn Snow Temple.
