Ten New Views of the West Lake
A selection activity was conducted on “Ten New Views of the West Lake” in 1985. After the active participation of Hangzhou citizens and people from all around and the serious consideration of Expert Selecting Committee, the official names of Ten New Views of the West Lake were finally decided as follows: Cloud-Sustained Path in a Bamboo Grove, Sweet Osmanthus Rain at Manjuelong Village, Dreaming of Tiger Spring at Hupao Valley, Inquiring about Tea at Dragon Well, Nine-Creeks Meandering through a Misty Forest, Heavenly Wind over Wushan Mountain, Ruangong Islet Submerged in Green, Yellow Dragon Cave Dressed in Green, Clouds Scurrying over Yuhuang Mountain, and Baoshi Mountain Floating in Rosy Clouds.

The Ten New Views of the West Lake is an extension based on the Ten Views of the West Lake, which have made the West Lake into a colorful silk belt, having different views during the spring, summer, autumn, and winter, and having the unique charm during cloudy days, sunny days, rainy days, and snow days.
