As SHEN Meng, scholar and official in Ming Dynasty, wrote in The Journey to Tianmu Mountain, Four Sides Peak “is deep, remote, quiet, secluded, unusual and beautiful. Being the most wonderful sight of Tianmu Mountain, it completely deserves the ancient name ‘Penglai Fairyland’.”
