The South Peak Tower locates in the confluence of Xin’an River, Fuchun River and Lan River, in contrast to the ancient Meicheng Town across the river. It is the Provincial Cultural Relics Protection site. The North Peak Tower locates on the Mao Peak, Bixiwu Village, Meicheng Town; “Mao” refers to the direction of north, hence the name “North Peak Tower”. The North Peak Tower faces Wulong Mountain in the north, “Sanjiang Port” in the south and South Peak Tower in the opposite. The two towers are known as “Linyun Twin Towers” in ancient times, and is one of the eight Yanling sites. It is the Provincial Cultural Relics Protection site.
