Zhiweiguan / Weizhuang Restaurants
Zhiweiguan Restaurant was founded by Sun Yizhai in 1913. Its name comes from the saying, “If you want to know my restaurant’s taste, just look at my chosen ingredients.” The establishment is famed for its local snacks. Weizhuang Restaurant was founded in 2004 and is located at 10-12 Yanggong Causeway in the West Lake area. It was built on the lakeshore with an architectural style of winding corridors, courtyards, waterside pavilions, and meandering pathways. The restaurant serves traditional Hangzhou cuisine, but has also introduced new dishes to suit modern culinary tastes. Weizhuang, built in 2004, is located inside Red Oak Villa (Hong Li Shan Zhuang), Yanggongti, West Lake, Hangzhou (west gate of Huagang Park). It is made up by seven buildings, covering an area of 72 mu. Being the only restaurant with lake view in Hangzhou, Weizhuang, designed in garden style, is among the restaurants with the best dining atmosphere throughout Hangzhou or even China.
Famous chefs provide customers with both traditional delicacies and innovative dishes. Customers should never miss the two famous specialties here: Gold Medal Crabs with Fermented Orange, and Gold Medal Braised Meat.
