Starting as a backward traditional Chinese medicine workshop with a capital of only RMB 370,000 Yuan, Qingchunbao has gradually developed into one of the largest comprehensive pharmaceutical enterprises in China with the most advanced equipment focusing on the production of natural medicine and integrating scientific research, production and operation. It is a key high and new tech enterprise of National Torch Program, and (Zhejiang) demonstration enterprise of the scientific and technological industry base for the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine. Qingchunbao won the first prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress Award in 2014 because of the joint program “Innovation and Industrialization of the Core Technology System for the Secondary Development of Chinese Patent Medicine”, becoming the first independent pharmaceutical enterprise in China to win this honor.

Taking “re-energizing traditional Chinese medicine” as its own duty, Qingchunbao keeps making efforts to inherit and promote traditional Chinese medicine and meanwhile launch modernized transformation. In 1978, Qingchunbao selected the most ideal medicament among all the collections, which is an imperial secret prescription praised by Emperor Yongle in Ming Dynasty as “lengthening the life and preserving the appearance”. The enterprise made Chinese patent medicine according to the prescription after certain improvement and named it Recovery-of-youth Tablet (later renamed as Qingchunbao Anti-caducity Tablet). The imperial prescription thus re-appeared. As one of the first generation of health care products in China, Qingchunbao Anti-caducity Tablet has been selling well for nearly 40 years, being honored as one of the four national treasures of China by customers at home and abroad.
