Qinghe Lane is the flourishing region of Hangzhou since the ancient times. The east part of Xingong Bridge, Hefang Street is the resting place for Emperor Gaozong in Southern Song Dynasty - Deshou Palace relics. In the Southern Song Dynasty, ZHANG Jun was appointed Qinghe County King, and his house was located in Taiping Lane (used to be Yu Street), so this area is now named for Qinghe Lane. At that time, Qinghe Lane was decorated by various stores, restaurant and teahouses, and it was the gathering place for merchants. After dynasties of Yuan, Ming, Qing, and the Republic of China, until the liberation, this area is still bustling commercial area of the city.
Hangzhou’s century-old shops are collected here: Wangxingji Fan Store, Zhang Xiaoquan Scissors, Wanlong Ham Store0, Huqing Yutang Pharmacy, Fanghui Chuntang Pharmacy, Yezhong Detang Pharmacy, Baohetang Pharmacy, Zhuangyuanguan Restaurant, Wang Runxing Restaurant, Yiyuan Gold Shop, Jingyangguan, Yangtang Restaurant, etc. Zhu Bingren Bronze Art Museum is an important cultural and artistic exhibition spot in Qinghe Lane.
