Qingteng Tea House
Qingteng (Green Vine) is one of the Hangzhou’s earliest teahouses and makes subtle use of Chinese painting, calligraphy, and the traditional elements of south-of-Yangtze style gardens to create a peaceful oasis in the midst of a busy city center.

Setting up around the West Lake, Qing Teng Teahouses are becoming larger and larger in size from No.1 Park to No.6 Park. The first Qing Teng Teahouse, opened in May 1996 opposite to No. 3 Park, was the first tea house around the West Lake. Teapot master XU Sihai paid a special visit to hold a teapot exhibition on the opening day. The style of South China folk house is well received by local tea drinkers.

Qing Teng Teahouse never ceases to launch new activities over the years. Customers can not only have a night talk with friends, but quietly appreciate tea art and music performance. Moreover, they can even learn to make dark-red enameled pottery by themselves under guidance.
