Jiangzhuang Villa
Jiangzhuang Villa was originally called Small Hall of Ten Thousand Willows, and then renamed Langai Villa, before finally settling on its current moniker. It was built in 1901 by Lian Quan, a collector of inscribed metal and stone seals. Located on the southwest side of West Lake, the villa is distinctive in its combination of Chinese and Western architecture. Its landscape was designed to integrate the grounds of the villa with the surrounding environment. These features allow the villa to be enveloped by willows on three sides and enclosed by two causeways, offering views of rock scenery and the lake.

Located beside Small South Lake, Jiang Zhuang features in its combination of Chinese and Western architectural styles. You can get an unblocked view of the villa from the south to the north. On the first floor is MA Yifu Memorial, and on the second floor is Juan Xi Study. Jiang Zhuang is located between Ying Bo Bridge and Suo Lan Bridge of Su Causeway in the east, connects with South Lake in the south, faces West Mountain and neighbors West Inner Lake in the north. In memory of MA Yifu, a great master of Chinese culture who lived in Jiang Zhuang for 17 years, MA Yifu Memorial is built in side of the villa.
