Hangzhou East Railway Station is located in the core area of New Chengdong City of Hangzhou affiliated to Hangzhou Railway Station. The new Hangzhou East Railway Station, newly built in 27th December,, 2008, officially came into use in 1st July, 2013. It is the comprehensive hub platform of Shanghai-Kunming Railway Line, Nanjing-Hangzhou High-Speed Railway, Shanghai-Hangzhou High-Speed Railway, Hangzhou-Changsha High-Speed Railway, Hangzhou-Ningbo High-Speed Railway (Hangzhou-Fuzhou-Shenzhen Passenger Railway Line), Hangzhou-Huangshan Passenger Railway Line and has made a plan for Shanghai-Hangzhou magnetic levitation. Located in No.999 North Huanzhan Road of Jianggan District of Hangzhou, Hangzhou East Railway Station is the Eastern Gate of Hangzhou City and the only way that Shanghai and Ningbo enter the main city of Hangzhou. Therein, the railway station building, with building type of “Qiantang River Tides” as the topic, embodies the city image of “delicate, harmonious, grand and open” of Hangzhou and the characteristics of the times striding from “West Lake Age” to “Qiantang River Age”.
